Abyssal Demons have a very unique feature in which they can teleport themselves and/or the player. The player can end up in one of the eight spaces which surround the abyssal demon.
If a player has the auto-retaliate option turned off, the player will have to click attack on the demon to resume attacking.
The Abyssal Demon is misleading in the fact that even though it requires 85 Slayer to kill and has a combat level of 124, it only has a max hit of 8. Because of this, many higher level players with the required Slayer level find it easy to camp the demons. This can be a very profitable activity when considering the demand for the whip. One common tactic used by those who can afford it is to bring along full Guthan's and a peice of food or two. This allows most players to stay at Abyssal Demons infinitely, leaving only to empty their inventory.
