To fight the cockatrice you need to have at least 20 defence along with the slayer requirement due to needing a mirror shield. The Cockatrice gives 37 slayer experience when assigned and killed. Slash attacks and magic attacks are more effective then other types against the cockatrice. They have the ability to drop all types of elemental runes and all types ofherbs however the more expensive herbs are less common then the cheaper types, (Eg. Guams are more frequent then rannars etc.). They are also known for there ability to drop many limpwurt roots. They also are likely to drop a small amount of coins. A cockatrice can only be assigned by Mazchna,Vannaka or achtryn.
