The Magic Shortbow (often abbreviated as MSB by players) is one of the strongest bows. Level 50 Ranged is required to equip this bow. Many players prefer it for its special attack, which allows the user to fire two arrows in rapid succession. This special attack drains 55% of the special bar.

To make a magic shortbow, a player must have a Fletching level of 80. The player also needs a knife and a magic logs to make a magic shortbow (u), and a bow string. Cutting the magic logs gives the player 83.25 Fletching experience and an additional 83.25 Fletching experience for stringing the bow, for a total of 166.5 experience per bow.

The Magic Shortbow is also very notorious while Player Killing in the Wilderness.
