dragon sq shield. The full set requires 40 Defence and 40 Attack (or 40 Strength for the halberd) to wear and the completion of the Dragon Slayer quest to use the Rune platebody. Various types of rune armour have been released that are named differently and have (slightly) different appearances, yet have the same bonuses and penalties.

From Treasure Trails, players can also obtain trimmed, gold-trimmed, Saradomin, Guthix, Zamorak or Gilded rune armor. These rewards, however, only drop from level 3 clue scrolls and come at random.

Rune equipment can be purchased from various NPCs for prices varying between 5,120 and 128,000 coins. Some of the items can only be smithed (the rune claws) and some of them can only be obtained as drops (the rune spear). Some of the items can not be smithed and must be obtained as drops (the rune boots) or bought from certain NPCs (the rune gloves).
