Speak to Morgan in Draynor Village. He tells you about a vampire that is terrorizing the village. He asks that you go to the Jolly Boar Inn, in Varrock. Before you go there, head over to the house in Draynor Village that has an upstairs. If you're in the correct house, there should be a cupboard on the second floor. Open it and search it to receive some garlic.
Jolly Boar Inn[]
First head over to the church on the eastern side of Varrock. Follow the road that heads north out of Varrock, in the direction of the wilderness. The road will turn right, you will not be led into the wilderness. It leads directly to the Jolly Boar Inn.
Once there, speak to Dr. Harlow about the vampire. He'll ask for you to buy him a beer. Talk to the barkeep and purchase a beer for 2 gp. Use the beer on Dr. Harlow. He'll talk to you about vampires and give you a stake.
Fighting the vampire[]
Get food, a weapon, and armor. Prepare to fight a level 34 vampire. Ensure that you have the following items in your inventory:
- Garlic
- Hammer
- Stake
Head over to Draynor Manor and enter the manor. Go down the stairs that lead to the basement. In the basement, you'll find a coffin. Open the coffin and the vampire will spawn and start attacking you.
Your garlic will weaken the vampire severely. Once the vampire gets low enough, you will automatically use the hammer and stake on him, defeating him. When he dies, you have completed the quest.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: I tried giving Dr. Harlow the several beers, but he won't tell me how to kill the vampire. What should I do?
A: Make sure you "use" the beer with Dr. Harlow and do not drink it yourself. He will eventually tell you how to kill the vampires. You also can just speak to him, and he will ask you for a beer. If you do have a beer in your inventory, you will respond "here you go."
Q: I can't seem to get out of Draynor Manor; how do I leave?
A: There is a door to the right of the stairs. Go through the door, and then the door to take you outside. Then simply make your way to the front of the Manor.
